Rejuvenation and Restoration are the keywords used to describe Dr Anthony MacQuillan’s plastic surgery. His practice focuses on facial aesthetic surgery (blepharoplasty, face and neck lifts, and ear surgery), body contouring (abdominoplasty, liposuction, and arm and thigh lifts), and breast surgery (augmentation, uplift, reduction and fat grafting).
After graduating from the Royal London Hospital Medical College in 1997, Dr MacQuillan completed his specialist training in plastic surgery at Mount Vernon Hospital (now relocated to the Royal Free Hospital) and Guys and St Thomas’s Hospital in London. He is now a regular speaker, lecturer, and attendee of BAAPS conferences along with being an elected member of the council.
Mr MacQuillan’s strives to ensure that during consultation you are heard, included, and at ease. He describes himself as ‘not your typical surgeon’ and prides himself in being approachable, empathetic, honest, and informative.
Dr MacQuillan additionally holds a research doctorate in nerve reconstruction from the University of London. This unique specialism allows him to be the only surgeon in the UK to perform facelift surgeries with such added understanding of neurophysiology and how this impacts on muscle movement. Ultimately enabling him to perform facial surgery with the upmost amount of safety in surgery for post operative results.
During consultation, Anthony uses 3D imaging along with annotating pictures taken in the clinic of the concern area to help the patient visualise the procedure. This unique approach allows the patient to visualise the procedure for internal and external results.
Further to his facial procedure, he is very well recommended from patients for his work with post weight loss individuals (significant weight loss from bariatric surgery). His talents lie in all body lifting, specifically abdominoplasties and thigh and arm lifts.
